Las Tablas

In 1998 a second Las Tablas was opened at 4920 W. Irving Park Rd. This would add another dimension to Las Tablas for a variety of reasons. Serving the exact same menu, this space was much bigger than the Lincoln restaurant, making the accommodation of large groups much easier. In addition this location featured a full bar, highlighted by what many consider to be the best sangria in Chicago. As is the case at our new Lincoln Ave location, every single table and chair was handmade in Colombia by owner Soraya Suarez’s brother in Bogotá. Here we also were able to feature live music and dancing, featuring Chicago’s premier Colombian bass player, “Carpacho” Marin and his ensemble, Yankatino, playing Salsa and Latin Jazz. Here we have produced large scale events such as concerts, art exhibitions, cultural events, press conferences, etc. It was here that Las Tablas was visited by programs such as 190 North and Check Please. Complete with a banquet hall in the rear of the building, this is also a great location to celebrate private events of 35 to 80 people. We feature Chicago’s only Colombian lunch buffet Monday-Friday from 11:30 am to 3:00pm described as “very impressive” by 190 North. Located just west of the Six Corners intersection of Irving Park, Cicero, and Milwaukee, (about a mile West of the Irving Park 90/94 exit) Las Tablas Irving Park provides a great alternative diners coming in from the North and Northwest Suburbs.
